History of the family Léchot from Orvin

This family does not originate in Orvin, it is has been established there only since 1660,
as shown by the following document which is found in the archives:
"Daniel Leschot blacksmith (fabvre), said to be of la Chaudefonds, Seigniory of Valangin, domain of H.H. de Longueville, the said Leschot requesting us to receive and accept him as a citizen of our community, as one of us, heard his request, and considering that the trade of blacksmith is necessary and advantageous for us, received the said Daniel Leschot into our said Community, him and his descendants, in return for the sum of THIRTY écus, plus twenty-five batz for each one, and a meal for all the Community, and working honourably for the Community and for others as a practitioner of said trade of blacksmith in return for normal payment, in particular to put (horse)shoes on for said inhabitants of Orvin when they provide iron and steel (OF assie) a plough coulter for 3 batz, a ploughshare for 5 batz, a hatchet for 2 batz, to prepare the iron, to provide the nails for each hoof of a horse for 1/2, batz, etc, etc. the twenty-seventh day of the month of December 1660.
